A country's manufacturing industry has a significant impact on its economy. We present local chemical manufacturing using pre-fabricated modules as a solution to Africa's underdevelopment. These modules are manufactured under the best global talent and shipped to Africa, where they are simply assembled, and production can begin.
Modular plants provide a much simpler, less risky solution to industrializing Africa. They are built faster, require less upfront capital, and have greater flexibility, allowing for easy expansion. With as many modular chemical plants as required spread across the continent, we can beat the talent gap and develop the economies of Africa.
20,000 tonnes/annum Titanium Dioxide Production Plant in Nigeria
We aim to establish a 20,000 tonnes/annum modular plant in Nigeria that produces Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) via the chloride process. Chlorine is an important starting material in the chloride process, and it is produced by the electrolysis of brine (salt water). However, the electrolysis of brine also produces Sodium Hydroxide in almost equal proportion with chlorine.
Titanium Dioxide and Sodium Hydroxide were among the top five chemicals imported into Nigeria in 2018. Titanium Dioxide is used in paint, paper, ceramics, plastics, beauty products and other industries. In Nigeria, Caustic Soda is used in the soap industry, textiles (tye dye and prints), and the oil and gas sector.
We will take advantage of this excellent opportunity to produce and market both chemicals as our first line of products.
Combined Wind and Solar-Powered Chemical Plant in Nigeria
Eventually, the PyVee chemical manufacturing plant will be completely powered by renewable energy.
The renewable energy plan, which will be implemented in phases, will see the plant becoming fully powered with solar and wind by 2030.

Our embedded learning and manufacturing environment (ELMET) enables local production of industrial chemicals and simultaneously the training of next generation of Africa's scientists and engineers on a campus near our manufacturing facility.
Graduates of PyVee university will be scientists and engineers prepared with practical knowledge to help Africa achieve industrialization.
